The production of the Amati saxophones began in 1945 in the former building of the company Julius Keilwerth employing the Czech staff from the companies Kohlert. I have an Amati Kraslice Tenor Saxophone (serial number 179548) and a Trevor James The Horn Alto Saxophone (Serial Number: T01969). 'Recording King' was a model name for a series of stencil horns, mainly made by Martin.'The New King' and 'Toneking' are model names for a Keilwerth series of horns. The name is from King's association with SML: Strasser-Marigaux-Lemaire. The King Lemaire is a Kohlert or Amati stencil (probably Kohlert).Pre-1916 Kings are Kohlert or Evette & Schaeffer stencils. Please note that there are a few stencils with the 'King' name on them that were not made by the HN White Company: Amati Kraslice Tenor Saxophone Serial Numbers.
